Operations, business plans, project management, and software implementations present challenges I can help you overcome. At public companies, I built the products customers wanted to buy, achieving the numbers over 100 quarters! This required finding quality suppliers, securing cost reductions, and calculating purchase requirements. Let me help nurture your plans from inception into stable self-sufficiency. I encourage improvements via a crawl/walk/run approach- get something done, do it better next time, and keep learning. Learning can be sustained by studying problems with experts, documenting action items, collaboratively identifying solutions, creating checklists to sustain new methods, and finally embedding these methods into software tools whenever practical. My experience has been at high-tech startups and multinational firms; job titles were mainly in Operations. I recently retired from NVIDIA, where I led production planning, material planning, supply commits, warehouses, freight, and service support. Previously I led Operations at a smaller public company and was the first Operations employee at another company that subsequently went public. I thrived utilizing an outsourced model with Asian and North American suppliers. Throughout my career I actively directed software tool improvements and led an IT department en route to that company’s IPO. Hands-on experience includes writing software for Sales forecasts, Operations schedules, R D projects, and Finance applications. At three companies I guided significant software implementations and taught Information Technology courses at several Boston colleges.
