Progressive Dimensions, Edward Cassidy
After 21 years in business, Progressive Dimensions has served more than 18,000 customers and installed more than 2 million square feet of countertops and cabinets. The company has a five-star rating on Yelp, an impressive website, and a robust presence on social media.
Cassidy worked with SCORE mentor Chuck Dye. Cassidy says, “I didn’t go to college to study business but what I needed to know to succeed, Chuck taught me. Chuck taught me how to understand income statements, which is vital in business. I’ve been able to grow my business by investing in equipment and catering to my demographic.”
Cassidy advises other business owners to, “Work hard, be frugal, be honest, and never give up.”
In 1997, Edward Cassidy launched his own business fabricating laminate countertops by hand. Starting with a $7,000 loan, he worked out of a small rented garage. Twenty years later, his company, Progressive Dimensions, has more than 30 employees, a computerized manufacturing facility, and a showroom that boasts quartz, marble, and granite. Cassidy has expanded his offerings to include sink and faucet options, as well as kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
